AKRON, Ohio — A guy is dealing with many criminal rates after law enforcement say he walked into a Dollar Normal shop armed with what appeared to be a handgun and took a package of rest room paper.
In accordance to police, the suspect, identified as Rodney Willis, 39, entered the shop at 19 N. Arlington St. in the Middlebury community at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Willis experienced a suspected firearm in his waistband and demanded to communicate with the store’s manager, police say.
Willis, who reportedly appeared to be intoxicated, walked to the rear of the keep and took a pack of toilet paper, all when trying to keep a hand on the suspected gun, workers explain to law enforcement. He then walked out of the store.
Police arrested Willis with no incident at a home on the 800 block of Bank Road. A BB gun was observed up coming to where Willis was observed sleeping, law enforcement say.
Law enforcement say Willis is accused of earning threats previous month to rob the retail outlet. He was booked into the Summit County Jail on fees of aggravated theft, carrying a hid weapon, and theft.
