Frenship ISD announced that Lela Vela, FISD director of finance, has been picked as a 2022 Rise Award receiver by the Texas Association of School Company Officers.
Vela is a single of only 7 community education administrators across the state of Texas to obtain the award this calendar year, according to a information release from the district.
Vela and the other recipients of the Increase Award were being chosen based on their leadership attributes, achievements, and their wish to proceed increasing their profession. The award also recognizes the recipients as long term leaders who are on the increase in the college business local community and profession.
Vela has been with the Frenship spouse and children for 10 many years, serving in different roles inside of the Frenship ISD Organization Office which includes Accountant, Coordinator of Accounting, and now Director of Finance. Not only is Vela an lively member of TASBO, earning their highest certification of Registered Texas Faculty Enterprise Administrator, but she also participates in many neighborhood and Frenship committees and serves as a mentor to youthful business enterprise experts and pupils.
